The Regency period from 1811-1820 when the Prince of Wales was regent during George III's periods of insanity. Sophia Dalby, ex-courtesan and the child of a British aristocrat mother and an Iroquois warrior father, is the descendant of Ulrich and Juliane from The Fall. Sophia shares many of their qualities, including her ability to become legendary.

Mass Market

A time of chivalry and knighthood in the Middle Ages. These five books are connected, with many of the same characters making appearances. These five books are loosely connected to the rest of the books I've written. The character traits of each couple can be traced to their descendants, which is a lot of fun.

Roman Britain refers to those parts of the island of Great Britain controlled by the Roman Empire between 43 and 410. The Romans referred to their province as Britannia. Nicolaa, the heroine of The Willing Wife, is the descendent of Wulfred and Melania from To Burn. The land that Melania owned in To Burn, and that Wulfred took from her in battle, is still in Nicolaa's possession 600 years later.

Set in the Western United States during the period from the start of the American Civil War in 1860 (or the Gold Rush of 1849?) to the end of the so-called "Indian Wars" at Wounded Knee in 1890. Jack, the hero of A Kiss To Die For, is the descendant of the Rowland and Nicolaa from The Willing Wife.

Colonial America refers to the area now known as the eastern United States and parts of Canada from the time of European settlement to the American Revolution. Lydia, the heroine of Tell Me Lies, is the descendant of the Richard and Isabel from The Marriage Bed.

How the books are connected:

The Medieval Series is listed in chronological order, so if you want to read them that way, you can. If you don’t want to, you don’t have to.

The Holding features William and Cathryn and takes place in the winter of 1155; Henry II has just taken the throne of England. Rowland (The Willing Wife) and Ulrich (The Fall) are introduced as secondary characters. Rowland is William’s best friend and a widower, Ulrich is William’s young squire.

The Marriage Bed features Richard and Isabel in the spring of 1155. William (The Holding), Rowland (The Willing Wife), and Ulrich(The Fall) make appearances as secondary characters and Elsbeth (The Temptation) is introduced as a secondary character.

The Willing Wife is Rowland’s story and takes place in the autumn of 1155. Nicolaa, a new character, is his heroine. Both Rowland and Nicolaa have been previously married. William (The Holding), Cathryn (The Holding), and Ulrich (The Fall) all make appearances in this story.

The Temptation takes place in 1158 and features Elsbeth from The Marriage Bed with a new character, Hugh of Jerusalem.

The Fall takes place in 1165 and Ulrich is now a grown man in need of a wife and the lands she can give him. Her name is Juliane. William (The Holding) makes a brief appearance in this book.
